Eligibility | Anyone may participate in any Shop Challenges held in the same region as where the participant is residing (Asia-Oceania AO, Europe EU or North/Latin America NA/LA). |
The Shop Challenge for all games will be individual format. Take this chance to scout for your team members! Top 3 winners of the Shop Challenge will receive a coupon to redeem a prize at any Regional Championship.

Eligibility |
The event is grouped into 3 regions:
Anyone may participate in any Shop Challenges held in the same region as where the participant is residing (AO, EU or NA/LA). |
Language | Only English edition cards may be used. |
Cards | Cards from new expansions are legal to use from the expansion’s official release date. Cards from expansions which are available after Sneak Preview / Pre-sale events are not allowed for use in the tournaments until the expansions are officially released. |
Deck | A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament, except for the situations specified in the Sideboard Ruling for BFE & DB Best of 3 tournaments. |
Sleeving |
Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Sleeves used for all cards must be of the same design unless otherwise stated. Exception:
VGE: Players may use different card sleeves from their deck for their G Units. Sleeves used for the other cards must be of the same design. BFE: Players may use different card sleeves from their deck for their Flag. DB: Players may use different card sleeves from their deck for their Banners. |
Deck Registration | It is not mandatory to submit a deck list upon tournament registration. |
Entry Fee | Free Shops are allowed to charge a token entry fee. A player should be awarded (e.g. booster packs) if an entry fee is charged. Shop is required to indicate the entry fee in the application. |

Sideboard Ruling (For Future Card Buddyfight Best of 3 rounds)
- Fighters must use the same Buddy and Flag throughout the whole tournament. Fighters cannot change the Buddy or Flag between games.
- Fighters can have 0-10 cards for their sideboard.
- The 4 per deck rule applies to the main deck and sideboard as a whole. (i.e. You may only have up to 4 of a certain card between your deck and sideboard. Like normal games, your Buddy does not count towards the 4 per deck.)
- Between games 1-2 and 2-3 of each round, fighters may use cards from their sideboard to change their deck.
- After sideboarding, the deck needs to be in a legal state and the sideboard can be no more than 10 cards.
- Fighters must return deck to pre-sideboard state before each new round.
Sideboard Ruling (For Dragoborne -Rise to Supremacy- Best of 3 rounds)
- Dragoborne must use the same Banners throughout the whole tournament. Dragoborne cannot change their Banners between games.
- Dragoborne can have only 0 or 10 cards for their sideboard.
- The sideboard may not contain Banners.
- The 4 per deck rule applies to the main deck and sideboard as a whole.
- (i.e. You may only have up to 4 of a certain card between your deck and sideboard.)

FAQ
Are Japanese edition cards allowed in the main tournaments?
No, only English edition cards may be used in the main tournaments. No mixing of multiple languages in the deck is allowed too.
Am I allowed to switch decks and/or change cards in the midst of a tournament?
Participants are NOT allowed to switch decks or change cards in the tournament, except for what has been stated in sideboard ruling for Future Card Buddyfight and Dragoborne -Rise to Supremacy-.
Should I sleeve the cards? May I use different sleeves for G units (Cardfight!! Vanguard) / Buddy Monster and/or Flag (Future Card Buddyfight) / Banners (Dragoborne)?
Yes, you are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Maximum 2 layers of sleeves are allowed. Only licensed sleeves are allowed.
Cardfight!! Vanguard: You may use different card sleeves from your main deck for your G units.
Future Card Buddyfight: You should use the same card sleeves for the whole deck, including main and sideboard cards, as well as the Buddy Monster. However, you are allowed to use a different sleeve for Flag card.
Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy–: You may use different card sleeves for your Banners. Sleeves used within each main deck & sideboard have to be of the same design.
Am I allowed to use my own playmat in Shop Challenges & Regional Championships tournaments?
Yes, you are allowed to use your own playmats as long as the playmat is a licensed product. It is prohibited to use any unlicensed playmat.
Are there any entry fees?
Entry fees may be charged at shop’s discretion for Shop Challenges. There are no entry fees to any tournament in the Bushiroad Spring Fest 2018 Regional Championships. However, players may have to pay to enter the venue if a Regional Championship is held within another event which requires an entry fee.
If I am not the citizen of any countries in the region where a Shop Challenge or Regional Championship is held but I am currently residing in a country in that region, am I able to participate that Shop Challenge or Regional Championship?
Yes, you are allowed to participate in the Shop Challenges/Regional Championship in the same region as you are currently residing (North/Latin America, Europe and Asia-Oceania), regardless of your nationality.
Will the Shop Challenge winners be awarded with byes at Regional Championship?
No, as automatic byes will be a great advantage in the team league format, there will be no byes given to the Shop Challenge winners during Bushiroad Spring Fest 2018.
