Please find below the brief summaries of the information and format for tournaments in BSF2018 Regional Championships and Shop Challenges.
General Format & Regulations
Format | Individual |
---|---|
Eligibility |
All fighters living in the same region as the Shop Challenges / Regional Championship may participate. Fighters residing at a different region may not participate. The event is grouped into 3 regions:
|
Language | Only English edition cards may be used. |
Cards |
Cards from new expansions are legal to use from the expansion’s official release date. Cards from expansions which are available after Sneak Preview / Pre-sale events are not allowed for use in the tournaments until the expansions are officially released. |
Deck | A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament, except for the situations specified in the Sideboard Ruling for BFE & DB Best of 3 tournaments. |
Sleeving |
Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished, including any Sideboards. Sleeves used for all cards must be of the same design unless otherwise stated. Exception:
BFE: Players may use different card sleeves from their deck for their Flag. DB: Players may use different card sleeves from their deck for their Banners. |
Time-up Policy |
Players have 10 minutes to finish the 3 extra turns. After 10 minutes, the game is decided by sudden death. (Refer to Bushiroad TCG Advanced Floor Rules for more details) For best of 3 formats, if the score is 1-1 after the extra turns procedure, both players lose. |

Q: Should I sleeve the cards? May I use different sleeves for G units (Cardfight!! Vanguard) / Buddy Monster and/or Flag (Future Card Buddyfight) / Banners (Dragoborne)? |
A: Yes, you are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Maximum 2 layers of sleeves are allowed. Only licensed sleeves are allowed.

Q: Am I allowed to use my own card supplies (sleeves, deck cases, playmats) in Shop Challenges & Regional Championship tournaments? |
A: Yes, you are allowed to use your own card supplies as long as they are licensed products. It is prohibited to use any unlicensed card supplies. |
Q: Are there any entry fees? |
A: Entry fees may be charged at each shop’s discretion for Shop Challenges. There are no entry fees to any tournament in the Bushiroad Spring Fest 2018 Regional Championships. However, players may have to pay to enter the venue if a Regional Championship is held within another event which requires an entry fee. |
Q: If I am not the citizen of any countries in the region where a Shop Challenge or Regional Championship is held but I am currently residing in a country in that region, am I able to participate that Shop Challenge or Regional Championship? |
A: Yes, you are allowed to participate in the Shop Challenges/Regional Championship in the same region as you are currently residing (North/Latin America, Europe and Asia-Oceania), regardless of your nationality. |
