Update
[Jun 2] Updated Online Pre-registration Information for Australia/Sydney Regional Championship
[May 15] Updated Guest Appearance Information for Richmond, Canada Regional Championship
[May 9] Updated Venue and Schedule for Malaysia Regional Championship
Bushiroad has decided to alter the criteria for players advancing to the second day for next year’s two-day Bushiroad Championship Series 2017 Cardfight!! Vanguard events.
Previously, the top 32/64/128 players would have advanced to the second day, depending on the number of participants in the event.
However, after 7 rounds of swiss, all players that have a record of 5-2 or better will now advance to the second day, regardless of their final standing or tie breakers.
By eliminating tie breakers, more players will be able to advance to the second day for most of the Regional Championship locations, and we believe this will provide a better event experience to all players participating in the Bushiroad Championship Series 2017.
What is “Bushiroad Championship Series 2017”?

The “Bushiroad Championship Series” (BCS) is a brand new Bushiroad annual tournament starting from 2017. With the new tournament format and structure, the event aspires to provide players all over the world with a greater tournament experience.
The Bushiroad Championship Series encompasses the tournaments of Bushiroad’s English edition trading card games:
Bushiroad Championship Series is split into 2 circuits: Spring Circuit and Autumn Circuit. Each Circuit consists of its respective Shop Challenges and Regional Championships. The Champion from every Regional Championship main tournament will be invited to participate in the World Finals in Tokyo, Japan!

Participants are NOT allowed to switch decks or change cards in the tournament, except for what has been stated in sideboard ruling for Future Card Buddyfight.
Should I sleeve the cards? May I use different sleeves for G units (Cardfight!! Vanguard) / Buddy Monster and/or Flag (Future Card Buddyfight) / Main Deck and Gate Deck (Luck & Logic)?
Yes, you are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Maximum 2 layers of sleeves are allowed. Only licensed sleeves are allowed.
Cardfight!! Vanguard: You may use different card sleeves from your main deck for your G units.
Future Card Buddyfight: You should use the same card sleeves for the whole deck, including main and sideboard cards, as well as the Buddy Monster. However, you are allowed to use a different sleeve for Flag card.

No, the free BYEs are offered to Shop Challenge champions as an award, and players granted with free BYEs will definitely have more advantage over other players. For pairing, a BYE is considered as a Win; for tie-break, it is based on the Opponents’ Winning Percentage, wherein BYE rounds are not counted.
