Bushiroad Championship Series 26/27

Bushiroad Championship Series (BCS) is an officially sanctioned tournament series held annually across more than 25 locations. Thousands of players gather to face off in heart-racing games for attractive prizes and a coveted invitation to World Finals.

The next season, Bushiroad Championship Series 26/27 (BCS 26/27), will span three regions: Asia & Oceania (AO), Europe (EU), and North & Latin America (NA/LA). Players can compete at the shop-level Shop Challenges or directly at the regional-level Regional Qualifiers.

The World Finals is an invite-only event and will be held in Spring 2027.

No events scheduled.

  • Only English edition cards may be used.
  • All cards can be used after its official release date.

Players must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament.

The tournament is open to all players except the following:

  • Organizer of the tournament
  • Staff of the tournament
  • Head Judge of the tournament
  • Judges of the tournament

Please ensure that your Bushi Navi account has been authenticated by SMS before registering for any Regional Qualifier event.

  • Players are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of the cards cannot be easily distinguished.
  • Oversleeves with a matte finishing on one side and gloss finishing on the other side are allowed. However, the matte finishing has to be uniform on either the front or back of the cards. Oversleeves with patterns or borders are not allowed.
  • Only officially licensed sleeves may be used.

Main Deck

  • Standard sized sleeves are not allowed for use for your main deck
  • Sleeves used for all cards in the main deck must be of the same design

Ride Decks & G Decks

  • Sleeves must be used for cards in the ride deck and G deck
  • Sleeves must also be used for the ride deck crest
  • You may use sleeves with the same design for both your ride deck and G deck
  • Sleeves must have a different design from your main deck

Aid Items

  • You may choose whether to use sleeves for token cards, marker cards, and cards used to count energy
  • If you choose to use sleeves, please use different sleeves from your main deck
  • Please do not use sleeve combinations that may cause disruptions to the fight

Players are only allowed to use the following aid items:

  • Official energy counters
  • Power counters
  • Dice
  • Card status markers

Swiss

A double loss will be issued to both players. No extra time will be awarded.

Top Cut

Players have 10 minutes to finish 3 extra turns. After 10 minutes or at the end of the third turn, whichever comes first, the player with less damage wins the game. If damage is the same, both players play until the next instance of damage is taken.

Finals

There will be no time limit for the final match.

  • Players are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of the cards cannot be easily distinguished.
  • Oversleeves with a matte finishing on one side and gloss finishing on the other side are allowed. However, the matte finishing has to be uniform on either the front or back of the cards. Oversleeves with patterns or borders are not allowed.
  • Only officially licensed sleeves may be used.
  • Players are strongly recommended to use sleeves that differ from their other sleeves for their main deck.

  • Players are only allowed to use the following aid items:

- Shadowverse: Evolve Sidekick App [Play Points, Leader Defense]

- Shadowverse: Evolve Starter Deck Paper Mats with Play Point Tracker [Play Points]

- Evolution Point Cards [Evolution Points]

- Shadowverse: Evolve Starter Deck Defense Counter [Leader Defense]

  • Only official English edition materials and devices with Shadowverse: Evolve Sidekick app (specifically for use of the app) can be used.
  • In addition, writing material to keep track of life count is also allowed.

If both players have the same leader defense, both players play until the next change of defense at the end of the current turn. The player with less leader defense loses the game.

  1. There will be 2 levels of tournaments: Regional Qualifiers and World Finals
    • Champions of Regional Qualifiers will receive a sponsored invitation to the World Finals in Spring 2027. The 2nd and 3rd place will receive non-sponsored invitations to the World Finals
    • Invitations that are not accepted will be passed down, up to the 4th place. Sponsored invitations may only be passed down to the 4th place if both the 2nd and 3rd place are unable to attend
    • If the champion of a Regional Qualifier has already accepted a sponsored invitation, the sponsored invitation for that Regional Qualifier will be passed down. Similarly, if the 2nd or 3rd place of a Regional Qualifier has already accepted any invitation, the non-sponsored invitation for that Regional Qualifier will be passed down
      *Bushiroad reserves the rights to make the final decision on how invitations are passed down.
  2. Champions of the Bushiroad Championship Series 25/26 World Finals will receive a sponsored invitation to the next World Finals as returning champions to defend their title
    • Returning champions will not be able to pass down their invitations
    • Champions of the Bushiroad Championship Series 25/26 World Finals will participate at the Bushiroad Championship Series 26/27 World Finals
  3. All Regional Qualifiers, as well as World Finals, will be designated as Level 3 tournaments. Side Events held at Regional Qualifier events are designated as Level 1 tournaments
  4. Players will be able to compete and receive invitations in any region
  5. Players who have earned multiple World Finals invitations may only accept one invitation and will only receive one set of participation prizes corresponding to the game and format of the accepted invitation
    • Example 1: Player A receives a World Finals invitation for Cardfight!! Vanguard (Standard) and Shadowverse: Evolve at their region’s Regional Qualifiers. They choose to accept the invitation for Shadowverse: Evolve. As such, they will only be eligible to receive the participation prizes for Shadowverse: Evolve
    • Example 2: Player B receives a World Finals invitation for Cardfight!! Vanguard (Standard) in two different Regional Qualifiers (X and Y). They choose to accept the invitation from Region X. They will receive a single set of participation prizes for Cardfight!! Vanguard (Standard)
  6. For Cardfight!! Vanguard (Premium), winners of each Regional Qualifier event will receive an invitation to Bushiroad Championship Series 26/27 Cardfight!! Vanguard (Standard) World Finals.
  7. For Shadowverse: Evolve, winners of each Regional Qualifier event will receive an invitation to the Bushiroad Championship Series 26/27 Finals on April 24, where the top players will proceed to the World Finals on Day 2 with players who qualify from the Japanese and Simplified Chinese editions of the game.
