Singapore (October 23, 2021) – Bushiroad announces information on upcoming products and events for its popular English Edition Trading Card Game (TCG) titles Cardfight!! Vanguard & Weiß Schwarz for 2022 via a video premiere on its official YouTube channel.
On February 11, 2022, the English Edition Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress Booster Pack 04 Awakening of Chakrabarthi will be released. Booster Pack products contain cards that players can use to construct a deck to play with, or use to improve their existing decks.
A brand new card called the “World Original” card will be included in this product.
The World Original card is a special collectible item featuring original artwork that is unique to the English Edition.
The English Edition V Special Series 03: V Clan Collection Vol.3 & V Special Series 04: V Clan Collection Vol.4 will be released on March 4, 2022. These products will feature nostalgic units from previous products updated with new abilities, new artwork, and even new forms.

Previously announced during the Japanese TCG Strategy Presentation 2021 Autumn, Tokyo Revengers will launch simultaneously in English and in Japanese on May 13, 2022. A Trial Deck+ & Booster Pack will be released for this title.

About Bushiroad Shop League 2021
In order to adhere to strict social distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bushiroad Shop League will be a new Bushiroad-sanctioned tournament series. Bushiroad Shop League is a special shop level tournament circuit, where players can participate to win exclusive PR items and rank up points on a leaderboard.
This is a special tournament event that may be run alongside monthly tournaments for 2 seasons in the duration of September – December 2021. Please check with your local shop for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Japanese edition cards allowed in the main tournaments?
No, only English edition cards may be used in the main tournaments. No mixing of multiple languages in the deck is allowed too.
Am I allowed to switch decks and/or change cards in the midst of a tournament?
Participants are NOT allowed to switch decks or change cards in the tournament, except for what has been stated in sideboard ruling for Future Card Buddyfight
Should I sleeve the cards? May I use different sleeves for G units (Cardfight!! Vanguard) / Buddy Monster and/or Flag (Future Card Buddyfight)?
Yes, you are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Maximum 2 layers of sleeves are allowed. Only licensed sleeves are allowed.
Cardfight!! Vanguard:
You may choose to sleeve your Imaginary Gift Markers. However, if you do, you MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your Imaginary Gift markers.
You may use different card sleeves from your main deck for your G units.
Future Card Buddyfight:
You should use the same card sleeves for the whole deck, including main and sideboard cards, as well as the Buddy Monster. However, you are allowed to use a different sleeve for your Flag card.
You MUST use different card sleeves for Lost World Deck in order to differentiate your Main Deck from your Lost World Deck.
Am I allowed to use my own card supplies (sleeves, deck cases, playmats)?
Yes, you are allowed to use your own card supplies as long as they are licensed products. It is prohibited to use any unlicensed card supplies.
Can I purchase cards from other players at the tournament?
No. Players may trade cards, but are not allowed to buy/sell cards from other players at our events.

This is Hiroshi Tanahashi, “Once in a Century Masterpiece”, the Ace of New Japan Pro-Wrestling! I have been playing Vanguard since the beginning, and my love for Vanguard is not to be underestimated. It feels like it’s fate for me to be forming this Vanguard Club!
My aim is to gather fans that were once passionate about Vanguard! I believe that there are many fans that are away for various reasons, such as work, child-raising, studies, among others. Singapore (July 5, 2021) – Bushiroad announces that an English dubbed version of the CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD overDress animation, as well as a new mini animation series, “mini vanguard Large”.
Cardfight!! Vanguard English Dub
As with the original Japanese dubbed version, this season will run for 12 episodes and feature the opening song “ZEAL of Proud” by Roselia, and the ending song “Y” by Argonavis in their original Japanese recording. The first episode of the English dubbed animation will begin airing on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel from July 8, 2021, 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, with new episodes airing weekly.

CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD overDress is the latest in the Cardfight!! Vanguard series. It is set in the fictional Kanazawa, Kaga Prefecture, and features a whole new cast of characters. Protagonist Yu-yu Kondo is a 15 year old junior-high schooler who becomes enthralled by the world of Cardfight!! Vanguard. The character designs for CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD overDress are by CLAMP, renowned for their iconic works such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth. The anime production company working on this project is Kinema Citrus. In order to appeal to a wider audience, more resources were dedicated to improving the animation.
Among the cast is well-known internet personality and musician LilyPichu, who voices Megumi Okura. She previously appeared in the voice role of Muni Ohnaruto from Bushiroad’s music media franchise, D4DJ First Mix.

Anime Expo Lite (July 3, 2021) – Bushiroad unveils information through the Anime Expo Lite livestream on upcoming products and events for its popular English Edition Trading Card Game (TCG) titles Cardfight!! Vanguard & Weiß Schwarz for the rest of 2021 and beyond.

The highly anticipated Touken Ranbu –ONLINE– release will be making its way to the English Edition of Cardfight!! Vanguard in January 2022.
In Touken Ranbu –Online-, the player takes on the role of a sage who can call forth “touken danshi”, legendary swords given human form. Collaboration sets for this popular browser game were released in Cardfight!! Vanguard in 2015 and 2017 previously.
A Title Trial Deck & Title Booster will be released for this series. A Trial Deck product contains a pre-constructed deck that can be used for play off the shelves, while a Booster product contains cards that can be used to upgrade the Trial Deck, and build other decks as well.

This title will be released under the Weiß Schwarz English Edition Original banner, which features new titles that resonate with western audience in the international market. More information on this release will be revealed in the near future.

An Extra Booster contains a more focused line-up of cards compared to Booster Packs, but can similarly be used to upgrade existing decks, and build new ones.
Rent-a-Girlfriend tells the story of college student Kazuya Kinoshita, who decides to use a rent-a-girlfriend dating app service after a difficult breakup and meets Chizuru Mizuhara, with whom he becomes increasingly entangled with.

Mushoku Tensei covers the exploits of Rudeus Greyrat, an unnamed 34 year-old NEET who is reincarnated into a world of sword and sorcery. When he realizes this, he resolves to become successful in this new life and world.

From end May to early June, the Bushiroad Spring Fest Online 2021 event was held.
As large-scale in-person TCG events can no longer be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this online tournament served to scratch the competitive itch of the global player base. More than 500 participants joined the tournament, which was held over 3 weekends across 3 regions (North America/Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Oceania) and featured all of Bushiroad’s TCG games and formats.
Following its successful conclusion, Bushiroad announces the Bushiroad Rumble Online 2021, another online tournament event that will be held over 4 weekends in December 2021 and January 2022. In order to allow more players to participate, tournaments for each game and format will be held on separate weekends across the 3 regions, and will feature higher player capacity.
More information on this event will be released in the near future.
