Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25

Bushiroad Championship Series (BCS) is an officially sanctioned tournament series held annually across more than 25 locations. Thousands of players gather to face off in heart-racing games for attractive prizes and the coveted invitation to World Finals.

The next season, Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 (BCS 24/25), will span three regions: Asia & Oceania (AO), Europe (EU), and North & Latin America (NA/LA). Players can compete at the shop-level Shop Challenges or directly at the regional-level Regional Qualifiers (All participants may attend) for a chance to play at World Finals.

Bushiroad Championship Series will include the English edition of the following trading card games:

● Shadowverse: Evolve

Overall Tournament Structure

  1. There will be 3 levels of tournaments: Shop Challenges, Regional Qualifiers (All participants may attend), and World Finals (Invite only).
    • Champions of Regional Qualifiers will receive a sponsored invitation to the World Finals in Spring 2025, unless otherwise stated. The 2nd and 3rd place will receive non-sponsored invitations to the World Finals unless otherwise stated.
    • If an invitation is not accepted, it will be passed down. Invitations may be passed down to the 4th place at the most, and sponsored invitations may only be passed down to the 4th place if both the 2nd and 3rd place are unable to attend.
    • If the champion of a Regional Qualifier has already accepted a sponsored invitation, the sponsored invitation for that Regional Qualifier will be passed down. Similarly, if the 2nd or 3rd place of a Regional Qualifier has already accepted any invitation, the non-sponsored invitation for that Regional Qualifier will be passed down.
  2. Champions of World Finals 24/25 will receive a sponsored invitation to the next World Finals as returning champions to defend their title.
    • Returning champions will not be able to pass down their invitations.
    • Champions from Bushiroad Championship Series 23 and Shadowverse: Evolve World Invitational 2023 will be participating at the Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 World Finals.
  3. Tournament level.
    With reference to Point 3.1.3 in the Bushiroad Floor Rules document, please note the designated tournament levels for each type of event in BCS 24/25.
    • Regional Qualifiers and World Finals main tournaments: Level 3
    • Regional Qualifiers Cardfight!! Vanguard V-Premium tournament: Level 2
    • Regional Qualifiers Side Event: Level 1
  4. Shop Challenges will be run for all games and formats.
    • Winners of Shop Challenges will receive a Bye Card that can be used to obtain Bye round(s) when attending Regional Qualifiers.
  5. Players will be able to compete in any region. However, invitations will be region locked.
    • Any player receiving an invite must currently reside in the corresponding region of the tournament.
    • If the player is not currently residing in that region, the invite will be passed down. This is limited between the Champion and 2nd to 4th place players.
      Please refer to each location’s information in the Schedule for more details.
  6. Players who have earned multiple World Finals invitations may only accept one invitation and will only receive one set of participation prizes corresponding to the game and format of the accepted invitation.

    • Example 1: Player A receives a World Finals invitation for Cardfight!! Vanguard (Standard) and Shadowverse: Evolve at their region’s Regional Qualifiers. They choose to accept the invitation for Shadowverse: Evolve. As such, they are will only be eligible to receive the participation prizes for Shadowverse: Evolve.
    • Example 2: Player B receives a World Finals invitation for Cardfight!! Vanguad (Standard) in two different Regional Qualifiers (X and Y). They choose to accept the invitation from Region X. They will receive a single set of participation prizes for Cardfight!! Vanguard (Standard).

Job Description:

  • Procure, setup and maintain office IT hardware, equipment and manage inventory
  • Liaise with vendor on server maintenance
  • Implement IT system enhancements and modifications and ensure the organization’s IT
    processes align with business goals
  • Maintain website contents via WordPress
    • Update banners, news, products, events and etc.
    • Work closely with the marketing team on web marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Translate wireframes into web codes
  • Plan and manage the development and maintenance for company websites, applications,
    and systems
    • Come up with specifications
    • Localize web contents
    • Make changes to existing framework
    • Liaise with Japan System Team and Japanese web developers
    • Manage the schedule to ensure development and maintenance are done in a timely
      manner
  • Manage all IT aspects of employees’ onboarding/offboarding
    • Work account creation/deactivation (Email, VPN, etc.)
    • Prepare IT equipment
  • Provide support to other employees and related parties on system operations
Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
    equivalent
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, JS and PHP
  • Experience with optimization for mobile devices and familiarity with responsive and adaptive methods
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics is required
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Open to work on some weekends/public holidays for Company events
Good to Have:

  • Proficient in Japanese language skills in order to liaise with Japanese speaking associates

What is Bushiroad Expo 2024 ？

Bushiroad Expo 2024 is an exhibition organized by the Bushiroad Group, featuring various Bushiroad titles and brands, including Trading Card Games, Video Games, Music, Live Events, Merchandise, Comic Books, and more. Fans both old and new alike will be able to see our exhibits with their very own eyes. Having started with Taipei in January, we plan to showcase our contents all around the world.

Our next stop will be at the India Gaming Show on March 14th – 16th at Pune, Maharashtra.
