Frequently Asked Question

Q. I attempted the previous online test or interview but did not pass, am I able to try again this time?
A. Yes, you may try again this time.

Q. I have passed the online test but was not able to attend any interview in the previous test, what should I do?
A. Please participate in the current test.

Q. What should I do if I cannot attend an interview at any upcoming Regional Championship location?
A. Please kindly contact us to arrange for a timing convenient for all parties.

Q. Will there be another online test later on?
A. We are planning to run the Judge Test for every major tournament circuit. Please stay tuned for more information.

Q. I passed the test previously, do I need to retake the test?
A. If you are already an existing judge, it is not necessary to retake the test but you may choose to do so.

Q. If I am an existing Provisional Judge, will I be able to upgrade to a Level 1 Judge if I take the current Judge Test?
Yes, if you meet the criteria for this test, you will have to go through the interview process and will be upgraded to a Level 1 Judge if you pass.

Q. If I am an existing Judge, what happens if I fail the current Judge test?
A. Your judge status will still remain as is for 2 years from the last judge test that you have passed. However, you may be asked to do a refresher course if applicable.

Q. If I am an existing Judge and passed this test, will my Judge License be extended?
A. Your judge license will be valid for 2 years from the last judge test that you have passed.
i.e. If you pass the current Judge Test, your judge license will be valid until March 2024.

Code of Conduct

As a Judge, your responsibility is not limited to providing accurate answers to ruling questions. You are a community leader who should be looking out for the welfare of players, as well as considering yourself an representative of Bushiroad while on duty. While working/volunteering in such a capacity, you should always be mindful of your words and actions.

Judges are expected to behave in a professional manner during the events.

  1. Judges should be fair at all times and should not commit any dishonesty act.
  2. Judges are expected to treat everyone with respect.
  3. Judges are expected to be punctual and should inform the event organiser if they will be late.
  4. The role of the judges is to facilitate correct and fair gameplay and not to penalize players for honest mistakes.
  5. Judges should always assume goodwill and reasonable intent unless proven otherwise.
  6. Judges should be honest. If any wrong ruling or decision has been made, please highlight the issue or mistakes immediately if you realise they have made one.
  7. Judges should not create an unwelcoming environment or bullying culture at any time.
  8. Judges can interact with any community participants if they are not facilitating a task at hand.
  9. Judges are not to solicit either their own or other’s social media/organisation without prior approval from Bushiroad staff.
  10. Judges are not to create monetary transactions between any parties while on duty.

Application

Anyone who is 18 years old and above, familiar with game rules of any Bushiroad Trading Card Game, willing to learn about organizing tournaments and is passionate about growing the community may apply for the Bushiroad Judge Program.

You may only take each Judge Test once per current test period.

Current tests will open May 3rd 10:00 SGT and close June 30th 10:00 SGT.
Only 1 attempt per person for the test is allowed.

Candidates will be informed on their success or failure via emails on the first week of the next month.

Online Test

Interested parties may attempt the online judge test for an evaluation of their knowledge on Bushiroad’s trading card games. Candidates will also be evaluated based on their knowledge of the floor rules and game rulings of the selected game.

Officially Certified

Candidates who successfully pass the online test and interview will be awarded with one of the Judge status of either

Judges who are knowledgeable in game rulings. Provisional Judge will have to refer to a mentor (Level 1 Judge and up) for any floor rulings or infraction matters.

Judges who are knowledgeable in both game and floor rulings. Level 1 Judges will act as an mentor to Provisional Judges by sharing their experience and knowledge with them.

Judges who are knowledgeable in both game and floor rulings. Additionally they are responsible, with the ability to build and lead a team of judges. Level 2 Judges will also be given an opportunity to be a head judge for official tournaments.

Candidates who successfully pass the online test will be awarded with a provisional judge status. After accumulating experience, they will then be able to apply for promotions.

Provisional -> Level 1

  • Judged for at least 2 regional events (can be same circuit)
    *Have to pre-arrange for an interview at the end of 2nd/start of 3rd event
  • Judge Must be working at the event they wish to be interviewed at
  • Bushiroad staff to conduct interview where available
  • Bushiroad may appoint trusted Judges or staff to be the interviewers.

Level 1 -> Level 2

  • Score 90% or higher on the most recent judge test
  • Judged for at least 2 events as a Level 1 judge (must be across 2 circuits minimum)
    *Have to pre-arrange for an interview at the end of 2nd/start of 3rd event
  • Judge Must be working at the event they wish to be interviewed at
  • Bushiroad staff to conduct interview where available
  • Bushiroad may appoint trusted Judges or staff to be the interviewers.

D4DJ Groovy Mix Collaborates With K-Pop Artist YUKIKA

Singapore (March 11, 2022) – Bushiroad International has announced that two of K-Pop artist YUKIKA’s singles, “Insomnia” and “Loving you” will be added to the Rhythm & Adventure game D4DJ Groovy Mix on March 18.

This marks the first time that D4DJ Groovy Mix has collaborated with a K-Pop artist and included Korean language songs in the game. Fans of YUKIKA and the city pop genre will be able to enjoy playing beatmaps of “Insomnia” and “Loving you” at a variety of difficulty levels, ranging from Easy to Extreme.

Additionally, a login campaign will be held to commemorate the occasion. Players will be able to redeem exclusive YUKIKA-themed club customization items by logging in for three days from March 18, 2:00 AM to March 23 7:59 AM (UTC). These items can be used to customize the game UI during rhythm gameplay.

Players can unlock YUKIKA’s music from the “Song Purchase” menu in their Club with the in-game currency Songpearls. 10 Songpearls will be given out during the login bonus, allowing users to check out the new songs as soon as they are released!

Job Description:

  • Data-entry duties
  • Attend to general enquiries via e-mail
  • Handle loading and unloading of cartons of products
  • Assist in the picking, packing and shipping duties, as well as assist in managing office inventory

Job Requirements:

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral (Japanese language skills are optional, but would be of a bonus advantage for handling of Japanese content documents)
  • Have some knowledge in games (cards or otherwise) or anime

Deck A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament.
Sleeving

Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.
Sleeves used for all cards must be of the same design unless otherwise stated.

Exception:
VGE-S: Ride Deck
VGE-V & VGE-P: Imaginary Gift markers & G-deck (if any)

VGE-S: You MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your Ride Deck.

*You are not allowed to use Standard Sized Sleeves for your main deck.

VGE-V & VGE-P: You may choose to sleeve your Imaginary Gift Markers. However, if you do, you MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your Imaginary Gift markers.

VGE-P: You MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your G units.

*You are not allowed to use Standard Sized Sleeves for your main deck.

Important Notes

Time-up Policy
Players have 10 minutes to finish the 3 extra turns. After 10 minutes, the game is decided with a double loss. In the top-cut, after 3 extra turns, the game will be decided by sudden death.

・Cardfight!! Vanguard: The player with less damage wins the game. If the damage is the same, the game ends in a double loss.

・Weiss Schwarz: The player with lower level wins the game. If the level is the same, the player with less clock wins the game. If the clock is the same, the game ends in a double loss.

In the top-cut, after 3 extra turns, the game will be decided by sudden death.
(Refer to Bushiroad TCG Advanced Floor Rules for more details)

Team League Rules
– All 3 players must be playing a different Grade 3 unit in their ride decks, clan, or title from their teammates.

VGE-S: Each team member has to have unique Grade 3 unit in their ride deck.
This Grade 3 unit cannot be played in both the other team mate’s deck and ride deck.
i.e. if Player A has Chakrabarthi Divine Dragon, Nirvana in the Ride Deck,
Player B and C cannot have this G3 in both their ride deck and deck.

The Bermuda Triangle Clan are the participant’s in-favour deck for the Vanguard Zero Winter Circuit 2021.

The deck revolves around bouncing Duo Lovely Devil Vepar back to the hand. When Duo Lovely Devil Vepar returns to the hand, the player can search for the Sentinel Card – PR♥ISM-Duo, Aria and add it to the hand. Having a Sentinel Card is essential as it prevents the Vanguard from getting Hit by a finishing blow !

The Vanguard Zero Winter Circuit 2021 Circuit Finals will be happening on 19th Mar 10:00 AM PST (UTC -8) where the best of the best players will be playing against one another in a Best of 3 Conquest Format in Top 8.

‘Bushiroad Spring Fest’ is back and will be the first major Bushiroad-sanctioned tournament of 2022. Bushiroad Spring Fest 2022 (BSF2022) will be held across three regions (Asia-Oceania, Europe, North and Latin America). There will only be 1 level of tournament: Regional Championship.
