Bushiroad Championship Series 2018

Introduction

After Bushiroad Spring Fest in the earlier half of 2018, the Bushiroad Championship series will follow as the second Bushiroad-sanctioned tournament series held every year. Each year, thousands of players gather across more than 20 locations around the world to attend the event for the tournaments, side events and exclusive guest appearances.

Bushiroad Championship Series encompasses five tournaments of Bushiroad’s English Edition trading card games:

Regional Championship Format

Format Individual

Before Top 8*: Swiss
Top8*: Single Elimination

*Top 4 cut will be applied to Dragoborne tournaments
Eligibility All fighters living in the same region as the Regional Championship may participate. Fighters residing at a different region may not participate.

The event is grouped into 3 regions:

  • North America / Latin America
  • Europe
  • Asia-Oceania
Language Only English edition cards may be used.
Cards Cards from new expansions are legal to use from the expansion’s official release date.
Cards from expansions which are available after Sneak Preview / Pre-sale events are not allowed for use in the tournaments until the expansions are officially released.
Deck Registration It is mandatory to register the deck (submit the deck list) upon tournament registration.
Discrepancies between the deck list and actual deck used in the tournament may result in a penalty.
Entry Fee Free.
If the Regional Championship is held inside another convention, the entry fee to the convention may be applicable.
Byes Champions of Shop Challenges will be awarded with a BYE Card that grants 1 or 2 automatic BYEs at a Regional Championship depending on the number of Swiss rounds.

  • 1-6 Swiss rounds: 1-round bye
  • 7-9 Swiss rounds: 2-round bye

Multiple Blocks For any game which has more than 350 players seated at the start of Round 1, a second tournament will be opened up with the players split evenly between the two randomly. There will be an additional set of prizes for the Top 8/4/3/Champion respectively, including invitations to World Finals.

Mobile Game Producer
Job Description:

  • Submission process for iOS and Android.
    • prepare icons / screenshots / videos with internal designers and / or external partners
    • prepare description of the game
    • update game builds
    • test the builds submitted from the developer before platform submission
    • setup any platform testing (ex. beta testing) when necessary
  • Set KPI goals for the game, and track its performance. Furthermore, analyze its performance, and propose ways it can be improved.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to,
    • plan and execute social media communication
    • plan and execute paid advertisement
    • plan and execute app store optimization
    • plan and execute event exhibition
  • Work closely with external developers to,
    • ensure the quality of the game
    • ensure live ops run smoothly
    • while our games will mainly be localized versions of the game from headquarter Japan, ensure any overseas specific implementation is done correctly
    • ensure customer support is taken care of in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Japanese IP owners to,
    • ensure the localization is approved
    • ensure any game operation is approved
    • secure any necessary assets
    • ensure any marketing materials are approved
  • Work closely with the customer support team to take care of issues being faced by our customers in the game in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Head of Mobile to ensure the best possible plans and execution.
Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience, working on a mobile game as a Producer or Marketer.
  • Understanding of the F2P mobile game business, and essential keys to its success.
  • Strong project management and people skills.
  • Passionate about understanding the Bushiroad IP.
  • Better to have: Japanese communication skill.

The explosive conclusion to the Bushiroad Championship Series 2017!

Featuring over 100 players from 47 Regional Championships held over the course of the year, the top players for our games will face off against one another in Tokyo to see who will be crowned champion! The games featured will be Cardfight!! Vanguard, Future Card Buddyfight, Weiss Schwarz and Luck & Logic. This will be a titanic clash where only the very best will ascend to the throne!

The venue will be open to the public to spectate, and there will be exclusive merchandise sales as well. But if you’re not there to catch it all happening with your very eyes, fear not, for you can still experience the same heart-pounding action from the comfort of your own home! The event will be live-streamed across the internet throughout the day. Aside from our staff, our live-stream will feature a guest commentator from the community, Kris from DifferentFight!

The countdown has begun to 21st January, 2018! Be sure to mark it down on your calendars and don’t miss it!
