Deck
A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament, except for the situations specified in the Sideboard Ruling for BFE & DB Best of 3 tournaments.

BFE: Flag & Lost Deck
DB: Banner
VGE: Players must use different card sleeves from their deck for their Imaginary Gift markers. Players may use different card sleeves from their deck for their G Units (if any). Sleeves used for the other cards must be of the same design.

For best of 3 formats, if the score is 1-1 after the extra turns procedure, both players lose.
Future Card Buddyfight Best of 3 Rules
The starting player for games 2-3 will be decided by the loser of the previous game.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Rules
To be announced soon.
Sideboard Ruling (For BFE BO3 rounds)
Fighters must use the same Buddy and Flag throughout the whole tournament. Fighters cannot change the Buddy or Flag between games.
Fighters can have 0-10 cards for their Sideboard.
The 4 per deck rule applies to the Main Deck, Lost Deck and Sideboard as a whole. (i.e. You may only have up to 4 of a certain card between your Decks and Sideboard. Like normal games, your Buddy does not count towards the 4 per deck.)
Between games 1-2 and 2-3 of each round, fighters may use cards from their Sideboard to change their Decks.
After Sideboarding, all Decks need to be in a legal state and the Sideboard can be no more than 10 cards.
Fighters must return Decks to pre-Sideboard state before each new round.
Sideboard Ruling (For DB BO3 rounds)
Dragoborne must use the same Banners throughout the whole tournament. Dragoborne cannot change their Banners between games.
Dragoborne can have only 0 or 10 cards for their sideboard.
The sideboard may not contain Banners.
The 4 per deck rule applies to the main deck and sideboard as a whole. (i.e. You may only have up to 4 of a certain card between your deck and sideboard.)
Between games 1-2 and 2-3 of each round, Dragoborne may use cards from their sideboard to change their deck.
After sideboarding, the deck needs to be in a legal state.
Dragoborne must return deck to pre-sideboard state before each new round.
It is mandatory to register the deck (submit the deck list) upon tournament registration.
Discrepancies between the deck list and actual deck used in the tournament may result in a penalty.
Entry Fee
Free
If the Regional Championship is held inside another convention, the entry fee to the convention may be applicable.
Time-up Policy
3 extra turns according to Bushiroad TCG Advanced Floor Rules
Deck Check
To avoid disputes and cases of cheating, we would require all participants to fill in Deck Registration Forms, which include their deck list and a media release agreement before registering for the tournaments.
Please print and fill in the above deck registration forms for BCS2018 Regional Championships.
Deck and Sleeve Checking
Organizer must check the Top 8 players’ cards and sleeves against their deck lists before starting Top 8 rounds. Deck and Sleeve Checking does not have to be performed before the Top 8 rounds, unless there are any disputes.
Multiple Blocks
For any game which has more than 350 players seated at the start of Round 1, a second tournament will be opened up with the players split evenly between the two using a random method. There will be an additional set of prizes for the Top 8/4/3/Champion respectively.
Organizers must count participants manually at the start of Round 1 to ensure that multiple registrations were not used to cheat the system.
Q: Are Japanese edition cards allowed in the main tournaments?
A: No, only English edition cards may be used in the main tournaments. No mixing of multiple languages in the deck is allowed too.
Q: Am I allowed to switch decks and/or change cards in the midst of a tournament?
A: Participants are NOT allowed to switch decks or change cards in the tournament, except for what has been stated in sideboard ruling for Future Card Buddyfight & Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy–.
Q: Should I sleeve the cards? May I use different sleeves for G units (Cardfight!! Vanguard) / Buddy Monster and/or Flag (Future Card Buddyfight) / Banners (Dragoborne)?
A: Yes, you are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Maximum 2 layers of sleeves are allowed. Only licensed sleeves are allowed.
Cardfight!! Vanguard: You MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your Imaginary Gift markers. You may use different card sleeves from your main deck for your G units.
Future Card Buddyfight: You should use the same card sleeves for the whole deck, including main and sideboard cards, as well as the Buddy Monster. However, you are allowed to use a different sleeve for your Flag card.
Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy–: You may use different card sleeves for your Banners. Sleeves used within the main deck & sideboard have to be of the same design.
Q: Am I allowed to use my own card supplies (sleeves, deck cases, playmats) in Shop Challenges & Regional Championship tournaments?
A: Yes, you are allowed to use your own card supplies as long as they are licensed products. It is prohibited to use any unlicensed card supplies.
Q: Are there any entry fees?
A: Entry fees may be charged at each shop’s discretion for Shop Challenges. There are no entry fees to any tournament in the Bushiroad Spring Fest 2018 Regional Championships. However, players may have to pay to enter the venue if a Regional Championship is held within another event which requires an entry fee.
Q: If I am not the citizen of any countries in the region where a Shop Challenge or Regional Championship is held but I am currently residing in a country in that region, am I able to participate that Shop Challenge or Regional Championship?
A: Yes, you are allowed to participate in the Shop Challenges/Regional Championship in the same region as you are currently residing (North/Latin America, Europe and Asia-Oceania), regardless of your nationality.
Q: If I have already received a BYE Card in one BCS Shop Challenge, can I participate in another Shop Challenge? If I win the tournament again, will I be granted another 1 or 2 BYEs at Regional Championships?
A: Participants may participate in multiple BCS Shop Challenges, as long as the eligibility is fulfilled. The participant may receive multiple BYE Cards should he or she wins at multiple Shop Challenges. However, only one BYE card can be used to grant free Byes for each game at one Regional Championship.
Q: Can one BYE Card from one Shop Challenge be used multiple times at different Regional Championships?
A: No. The winners of any Shop Challenge must submit the BYE Card to the Bushiroad staff at the Regional Championship to receive the automatic byes, and Bushiroad staff will either cut a corner or punch a hole on the card. Hence one card can only be used once at any Regional Championship in the region.
Q: If I have already received an invitation to World Finals from one BCS Regional Championship, can I participate in another Regional Championship? If I win the tournament again, will I receive another invitation?
A: No. Participants may participate in multiple BCS Regional Championship, as long as the eligibility is fulfilled. However, if a participant has received an invitation to the World Finals from a previous Regional Championship of any game, that participant will not be able to receive another invitation. Should the participant win at any other Regional Championship again, the invitation will be passed down to the next available candidate.
Q: Can I purchase cards from other players at Shop Challenges & Regional Championship tournaments?
A: No. Players may trade cards, but are not allowed to buy/sell cards from other players at our events.
Q: Can I play other card games at a Regional Championship?
A: No. Players are only allowed to play Bushiroad card games at the Regional Championship tournaments.
