Licensing Executive / Senior Licensing Executive
Job Description:

  • To acquire IP (intellectual property) rights from external companies to collaborate with our trading card games
  • Source and identify new business opportunities from companies whose IP will fit into our games
  • Negotiate and execute new/renewable license agreements to comply with contractual requirements for product titles and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Negotiate royalty and minimum guarantees with companies for their IP
  • Create and manage licensing business documents, process and records in both Japanese and English, including, but not limited to, licensing agreements / contracts administration, rights management, product release calendars, tracking of payment and royalties, facilitating of additional copyright licenses as necessary
  • Assist in the approval process of licensed products and marketing materials
Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, both written and oral, in order to liaise with Japanese speaking associates
    • Has JLPT N1, or experience with using Japanese language in business settings preferred
  • Sensitive to cultural and linguistic nuances
  • Excellent at schedule management and multi-tasking
  • Adept at working both independently and in a team
  • Effective decision-making skills, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail
  • Has basic knowledge of games and/or anime
  • Open to work on some weekends/public holidays for Company events
  • Open to travel overseas for business trips when required

  • Proofread localized text and product designs
Job Requirements:

Events Team Associate
Job Description:

  • This position is responsible for supporting event planning and ensuring smooth operations throughout each event.
Primary Duties:

  • Work with the team to plan, organize, promote, and execute events—mainly tournaments—for our Trading Card Game brands, in order to provide enjoyable experiences for the community.
  • Carry out assigned responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Contribute ideas and creativity to improve each project.
  • Liaise with other internal teams, regional offices, and external partners as needed.
  • Support other team projects when necessary, such as operating conventions and assisting with packing and shipping items to stores.
Job Requirements:

Job Description:

  • Work with the Accounts team to ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
  • Liaise with Japan HQ for accounts-related matters
  • Assist the Manager in financial analysis, reporting and consolidation
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly / yearly journal entries for Trading Card Games (TCG) sales and costing, mobile games sales and costing and other transactions
  • Maintain proper accounting records and schedules, including tracking of prepayment and accrual
  • Prepare royalty/sales report for licensors
  • Ensure calculations for Google and Apple sales reports are up to date with the latest changes in tax and charges
  • Assist in reviewing financial reporting package for subsidiary company
  • Review and discuss accounting treatment on new products / current procedures with Manager
  • Assist in preparing and computing S45 withholding tax
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and perform monthly intercompany reconciliation
  • Coordinate and liaise with auditor / tax agent / IRAS / any external parties whenever required Compute monthly average exchange rates for Accounts and other departments’ use
  • Continuously review and improve internal control and workflow to enhance efficiency and compliance
Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Accountancy or Finance, or be a qualified member of ACCA/ISCA/CPA
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with more years of experience may be considered for the senior executive role
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Well-versed in MS Office, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Candiate with experience in similar industry or professional accounting firms will be preferred
  • Meticulous and attentive to details

  • Hand-on experience with Oracle NetSuite system would be advantageous
